James R. Brown, 66, of Footville, WI passed away on October 8, 2013 at the Veterans Hospital in Madison as a result of pancreatic cancer. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Madison, the son of the late Roger and Vivian (Krueger) Brown. He attended Evansville High School and served in the U. S. Army for 8 years from 1964 to 1972. He was later employed as an over the road truck driver for over 40 years retiring from A & H Inc. of Footville.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Cheri Brown of Clinton, NJ, one sister, Nancy (Steve) Wilson of Janesville, three brothers, David (Janice) of Milton, Gary of Evansville, Bill (Pat) of Janesville. His parents preceded him in death.
Jim requested no funeral service or visitation. Graveside services with full military rites by Footville American Legion Post # 237 will be held at Grove Cemetery, Roherty Road, rural Footville at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for pancreatic cancer research or to the American Diabetes Association. The family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral Home.
